Upon receipt of our new Masterbuilt Nfusion grill, I was pleasantly
surprised to find it was about 70 percent pre-assembled. Only the side
shelves/side burner needed to be attached, along with a few internal
cabinet attachments. Unfortunately, there were (2) screws stripped in
the burner area, and (1) missing cabinet screw. I was able to repair
the stripped holes, and I had a matching stainless steel screw to
replace the missing one, but I had to take 1 star off for the fault...
now on to performance.
I have used the grill twice since
receiving it, and it is working exactly as expected. The searing
station gives a perfect sear, and cooking time is nearly half of our
old, non-infrared gas grill. I did some pork steaks, about 3/4 inch
thick, in 8 minutes total cooking time, to an internal temperature of
145-150 degrees F., and they were perfect, tender and juicy. On
Christmas day, I grilled some 1-1/4 inch T-bone steaks, searing each
side twice for a total 8 minute sear, and finished on the indirect side
for an additional 8 minutes under hickory smoke from the smoker box…
once again, perfectly cooked to 130-135 degrees internal, good char on
the outside, and still a blush of pink in the middle.
I think we will like this grill…
